Einige Gedanken zu Poplar Bluffs "Beech Planet"

"Poplar Bluff ist ein Comtemporary U-Musik Band aus Deutschland. Sie machen Musik in einem ganz eigenem Stil. Es ist, als öffne sich eine Tür, und dann eine weitere Tür. Und hinter dieser Tür verbirgt sich ein herrlicher Garten. Es ist Frühling und Sommer zugleich, ja, es ist Herbst. Es gibt Glocken und Klackern und ab und an ungestüme Bassverläufe. Zuweilen vermeint man einige robotische Hufe zu vernehmen. Jedoch auch flächige, eher hotelzimmerähnliche Geräusche finden ihren Platz auf dem Tape. Wie von einem Strand von einem anderen Stern. Oder wie wenn die transsibierische Eisenbahn unentwegt an einem Ozean entlangrattern würde. Auf eine Art so, wie ich mir das Kaspische Meer vorstelle. Futur-Anachronismus, Protonen-Anarchie, so in diese Richtung, die ersten Heuschrecken im Weltall, der dünnste Mann Floridas, all das, oh all das, wie schön ist Poplar Bluff."
